The journey

From Northern Ireland to the Gold Coast — and back again

Lorraine's career began in Northern Ireland, where she initially studied IT at Magee University before following her true passion for the beauty and skin industry. She trained at Roberta Mechan in Belfast, achieving her ITEC and Sadesco qualifications, and went on to complete her training-and-assessing certifications — building the foundation not only to practise, but to educate and lead within the industry.

Australia: working alongside the best

Lorraine's career expanded internationally when she moved to Australia, working alongside leading professionals on the Gold Coast. Her experience includes time within Marina Mirage and alongside Dr Terence Scamp at Esteem Medi Spa, where she developed a strong focus on advanced, results-driven skin treatments.

She further refined her expertise within Dr Dilip's private practice at the Vandares Suites, and alongside the founder of Alpha-H skincare — gaining in-depth knowledge of skin health across a wide range of conditions, from post-surgical recovery to complex hormonal and age-related concerns.

The discovery of semi-permanent makeup

It was during this period that Lorraine discovered her passion for semi-permanent makeup. What began as a personal interest quickly evolved into a highly sought-after speciality, known for its refined, natural results. Committed to mastering her craft, Lorraine trained extensively with leading international educators across Milan, London and Paris — bringing together a range of advanced techniques to develop her own signature soft-blended style.

Her work is defined by precision, artistry, and a deep understanding of facial harmony — creating enhancements that are subtle, elegant, and completely tailored to the individual.

Six years building a Northern Ireland clinic

Lorraine built a successful practice on the Gold Coast before returning to Northern Ireland, where she established and ran a thriving clinic for six years. During this time, she continued to advance her expertise through specialised training in non-surgical treatments including plasma fibroblast, cryotherapy, and advanced skin therapies — always staying at the forefront of innovation within the industry.

Back home on the Gold Coast

Now based back on the Gold Coast, Lorraine brings together over 20 years of global experience, ongoing education, and a commitment to delivering exceptional, results-driven treatments at her Runaway Bay clinic.

Precision, artistry, and the work itself

Restorative work

Paramedical work — restoration, healing, confidence

A particularly meaningful part of Lorraine's practice lies in paramedical treatments. She specialises in restorative procedures such as areola tattooing after breast surgery, scar camouflage, pigmentation correction, scalp micropigmentation for hair loss, and brow recreation for clients living with alopecia or recovering from cancer treatments.

This work goes far beyond aesthetics — it's about restoration, healing, and helping people reconnect with their confidence after illness, surgery or hair loss. For many clients, this is the final piece of their recovery story.

True beauty is not about changing how you look — it's about enhancing what is already there, from the inside out.

Approach

A whole-person philosophy

Alongside her clinical work, Lorraine has also studied nutrition — deepening her understanding of the connection between internal health and external skin. Her approach is rooted in the belief that true, lasting results come from treating the body as a whole, not just the surface.

She takes a holistic approach to every client, considering not only the physical result, but how each person feels within themselves. Whether through semi-permanent makeup, advanced skin treatments, or paramedical work, her focus is on achieving natural, balanced results that elevate each client's features while maintaining their individuality.

Known for her warm, genuine nature and meticulous attention to detail, Lorraine creates a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and completely cared for. This is more than a career — it is her passion, her purpose, and her life's work.

Charitable work

Lorraine is also passionate about giving back, and is involved in charitable work supporting mental health — something that closely aligns with her belief that confidence and wellbeing go far beyond appearance.
