Skin-tone pigmentation to soften the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
Visible scars — surgical, accidental, post-acne, self-harm, or stretch marks — affect daily confidence in ways that aren't always obvious to others. Many people learn to dress around them, avoid certain photos, or live with a constant low-level awareness that the scar is there. For many of Lorraine's clients, softening the visual appearance of a scar is the final step in moving past whatever caused it.
Lorraine's main treatment for visible scars is paramedical scar camouflage — using skin-toned cosmetic pigment to blend the scar visually with the surrounding skin. This doesn't erase the scar entirely, but for mature, stable scars it can produce significant visual softening. Microneedling can also help certain scar types (rolling and atrophic acne scars in particular) through collagen stimulation.
The treatment approach depends entirely on the scar type and depth. Scar camouflage usually requires 2–4 sessions; microneedling for atrophic scarring typically 4–6 sessions. Mature, stable scars (12+ months old, no longer changing colour) respond best. Lorraine assesses each case individually at consultation.
